Paradigma Teknik Sipil dan Realitas Dalam Kehidupan Sehari-hari
Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aims to examine the relationship between civil engineering paradigms in theory and practice, and their impact on real-life applications. Civil engineering, which focuses on the planning, construction, and maintenance of infrastructure, plays a crucial role in supporting social and economic development.
However, there is often a discrepancy between the concepts taught in academic settings and the challenges faced by practitioners in the field. This research uses a qualitative analysis method, reviewing various literature and conducting interviews with field practitioners to gain a more comprehensive perspective.
The findings reveal a significant gap between theory and practice, particularly in terms of adapting to technology and managing human resources. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the civil engineering curriculum be updated to be more responsive to real-world conditions, along with enhanced practical training for students and professionals.
In conclusion, this study offers valuable insights into the need for alignment between theory and practice in civil engineering, aiming to enhance the effectiveness and relevance of its implementation.
