This study examines the effectiveness of public transportation management in supporting regional income growth in Magetan Regency, focusing on how improvements in service quality, operational efficiency, and accessibility contribute to economic development. Using a mixed-method approach, the analysis incorporates transportation performance indicators, stakeholder interviews, and sector-based revenue data. The findings indicate that effective public transportation management enhances regional accessibility, strengthens tourism activity, and stimulates economic sectors such as trade, services, and infrastructure development. Increased passenger volume contributes to higher regional income through vehicle taxes, tourism spending, and related economic activities. However, several challenges persist, including limited infrastructure quality, inconsistent service schedules, and insufficient integration of environmentally sustainable transport modes. Optimization efforts may include improving service reliability, upgrading transportation infrastructure, adopting eco-friendly technologies, and strengthening collaboration with the private sector. This study recommends that regional governments prioritize sustainable public transportation policies and continuous performance evaluation to ensure long-term economic benefits for Magetan Regency.
